Privacy policy

Rowprint turns a list into printable sheets inside your web browser. This page explains, in plain English, what happens to the information you use with it.

The short version: your lists stay on your device. Visits are counted without cookies, and the count of PDFs made carries the sheet number and nothing from your list. When you activate a Pro license key, Rowprint sends the key, a short activation label (your browser’s platform name and the date) and the store’s organization ID to the payment provider’s license server. Your lists and designs never leave your browser.

Your lists and designs

When you paste a list, open a file or type into Rowprint, the data is read by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Laying out the sheet, drawing the preview and writing the PDF all happen on your device. Rowprint has no server that receives your data, so your names, addresses and other columns are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.

The PDF you download is saved by your browser like any other download. What you do with it after that, such as emailing it or printing it, is up to you.

What is stored in your browser

Rowprint uses your browser’s local storage, which only this site on this browser can read, for two things:

  • Your current project (the list, the chosen sheet and the design), so it is still there when you come back.
  • Your Pro license, if you activate one: the key, which payment provider issued it, when it was activated, and the provider’s activation ID where it issues one. When the provider is Gumroad, the email address used for the purchase is kept too.

This data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. If you use a shared computer, clear it when you are done, or use a private window.

Visit counts, without cookies

Since October 28, 2026, Rowprint counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, run by the company that hosts the site. It sets no cookies and keeps nothing in your browser. A visitor is told apart only by a hash of the request that changes every day, so visits cannot be linked from one day to the next or to other sites. We see totals: which pages were opened, where visitors came from (the referring site), and their country, browser, operating system and device type.

The app also counts four moments, so we can tell whether it works for people: a PDF made (with the sheet number, how many sheets, Free or Pro, and whether it was downloaded or opened), a test page made (with the sheet number), the checkout opened, and a Pro key activated (with the payment provider’s name). None of these contain anything from your list, your design or your files.

There are no advertising pixels, no session recording and no other tracking scripts. The fonts and code are served from this site, so loading a page does not contact Google Fonts or any other third party. If this changes, this policy will be updated first.

When you buy Pro

Checkout happens on the payment provider’s own page, not on Rowprint. The payment provider acts as the merchant of record: it collects your name, email address, payment details and billing country to take the payment, calculate tax and send your receipt and license key. Its own privacy policy covers that information. Rowprint never sees your card details.

The provider tells us about each sale (for example your email address, the amount and the license key) so we can answer support questions and issue refunds. We use it for nothing else and do not send marketing email.

When you activate a license key

When you enter a key, Rowprint sends it to the payment provider’s license service to check that it is valid and to count it against the 3-browser limit. Along with the key go the store’s organization ID and a short label for the activation: your browser’s platform name and the date, such as “Win32 2026-10-27”. With Gumroad, the key goes with the product ID instead, and no label is sent. Your lists and designs are never part of that request.

Hosting and server logs

The pages and code are delivered by Vercel, a static hosting company. Like any web host, it may keep standard request logs, such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, for a limited time for security and reliability. Those logs cannot contain your lists, because your lists are never sent.

Children

Rowprint is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. Teachers can use it to print name tags or certificates for a class, and those lists stay on the teacher’s device like any other.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about free users beyond the anonymous counts above, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete; your browser holds it all. If you bought Pro and want a copy of the sale record we keep, or want it deleted where the law allows, email us.
